Beating the most happening things like the Anna movement, 2G, Bomb blast ,Osama Act & many others the festival season is back to woo us and as usual forgetting everything we are set to have some good time during the Ganesh utsav , Dushera Pooja & Diwali which will continue till christmas & new year. What a middle class corporate employee is in need? if i answer couple of days leave from work to relax & rejuvinate life i hope majority of people will agree to me. And for people like me festival means celebrating with parents @ home & spending quality time to remember later on. This time i was bit late as always to book tickets to home. But for a country like ours it becomes a tough job for lakhs of people who earn their living outside their homes to get back to home on festivals & the ticketing system however has gone online is not sufficient. After the screen displayed ” not available”, i turned to the road transport system as air travel is bit expansive for me now.

For my surprise the bus operators are plenty in number and the service online is far better than the centrally operated Railways. Here are few options on road transport you too can use.

Redbus reflects the best example of enterprenuership which started in the year 2005 by few techies travellers from Bangalore when they did not get tickets from local counters, with an innovative idea to provide bus ticket booking online. they used technology, managed to get the bus operators linked to them and hence rolled on the redbus service. Now they operate in more than 350 routes and thousands of satisfied customers. the website is user friendly and you can book tickets via internet or by calling the customer care number or by visiting their counter. The customer service is far better than other tour operators & i am sure you will enjoy the ride.

Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (www.apsrtc.in)

This is the best govt run road transport system to book tickets online available today. The large number of routes to better option with variety of service provided to the m-chek facility is well defied there and I would rate this as the best in the state run transport system.

This again is a better technology used website where you can get tickets to major cities in south , west & central parts of the country.

This again is a better technology used website where you can get tickets to major cities in southern parts of the country.

Tamil Nadu road Transport Corporation (http://www.tnstc.in/)

Recently it has been launched by the State government but the motive is not very clear as nobody else other than the regular agents in the reservation centre can book tickets as it needs a registration for once but the same is not available throughout the website. Being a hub for IT people i dint find the site very useful rather than a long speech by Amma ( Jayalalitha). Wherein you can book tickets at the 50 reservation counters.

कल मैंने कहीं अखबारों मैं या समाचार चानेल में सुना के लोकपाल बिधेयक के सूत्रधार अन्ना हजारे जी को उनके गांब रालेगन सिद्दी के पंचायत ने अन्नाजी को महात्मा की उपाधि देने का आग्रह किया और अन्ना जी ने उसे ग्रहण करने से इनकार कर दिया. ये उनकी उदारता कहें या फिर उपस्थित बुद्धि का प्रयोग पर मुझे ये अछा लगा. देश मैं दूसरा अगस्त क्रांति ले आने मैं अन्नाजी का अबदान बस्ताबिक अतुलनीय है. जहाँ आज चारो तरफ लूट मची हुई है , कानून ब्यबस्था थप है और जंत्री से लेके मंत्री तक सब जेल की हवा खा रहे हैं वहां एक ७२ साल का बुज़ुर्ग बिना किसी स्वार्थ के देश को एक मज़बूत कानून देने के लिए १२ दिन तक अनशन पे बता और जीता भी वो वाकई हम आन इंसानों से बहत ऊपर है. आज अगर कोई खुद से पहले दुसरे के लिए और परे उसके देश के लिए सोच रहा है तो दिल करता है की उसका मन से आदर करूँ. सफ़ेद पोषक मैं अन्नाजे ने बस एक आवाज़ दी और देखो सारा देश उनके साथ खड़ा हो गया. मेरे हिसाब से मैंने तो आन्दोलन , सत्याग्रह और अनशन जैसे शब्द सुना है और पढ़ा है किताबों मैं मगर कुछ महीनो पहले अन्ना जी का आन्दोलन देखा तो मुझे बस्त्बिकता का महसूस हुआ और मेरे लिए गंघिगिरी मतलब अन्नामनिया ही लगा. गांधीजी जैसे सत्य और अहिन्शा को अपना शास्त्र बना के अन्रेजों के खिलाफ लाधे और उन्हें भाग खड़ा किया अन्नाजी का भी ये आन्दोलन आज भी उन्हीं सत्य और अहिन्शा के मार्ग पर चल कर अपने लक्ष्य को पहंचा ये मुझे अबिस्वस्नीय लगा. पर ये सच था और क्यों की मैं इसका का साक्षी बना इसलिए मैं अपने आप को भाग्याबान महसूस करता हूँ. गंध्जिके सिद्धांत मैंने किताबों मैं पढ़ा है और सुना भी है मगर उसका इस कदर पालन मैंने पहली बार देखा. यूँ तो मुझे कोई हर्ज़ नहीं है अन्नाजी को महात्मा अन्ना कहने पर मगर जब अन्न्जी ने मन किया तो कुछ तो सोचा होगा. चाहे जो भी हो मेरे लिए अन्ना और गाँधी आज के समय में एक ही लगते हैं ; एक चला गया सिद्धांत छोड़ के और एक निभा रहा है उन्हीं सिद्धांतो को समाज कल्याण के लिए.

But the government does not seem to have tackled any of the above issue significantly. Instead the elegant ministers are engaged in catfight among them selves in relation to the 2G note. And what a drama that ashamed the entire country for the past 3-4 days. Dada accusing Chidu of not taking action to prevent the scam & in reply chidu like a wild child denied to speak on the issue without speaking to the MMS & MMS was busy in an international conference giving words of wisdom with caution to both chidu & dada. In due course chidu even offered to resign to 10 janpath who is back from a surgery. Finally MMS is back accusing the opposition of conspiring of fresh election & took both the wild children to 10 Janpath to create a show to convince the media & saved the govt….it just looked as a family drama to me. But its not any child’s play bosses, its thousand crore of public money that has been looted & you have to give us the answer. But one thing is for sure that the next election people are going to do justice and this time my friend just get ready to vote in huge numbers & outcast everybody who is corrupt & incapable of performing his duty….

आज शिर्डी गया था बाबा के दर्शन किये पर भीड़ बहत थी और बाबा भी बिजी थे,aur हो भी क्यों ना जब मेरे जैसे जाने कितने लाखो करोडो भक्त उनको हमेशा याद और पूजा में लगे जो रहते हैं. पर बाबा वहां आनेवाले किसी की भी अनदेखी नहीं करते और सबकी सुनते हैं और उनकी फरियादें अपने ” to do ” लिस्ट मैं लिख लेते हैं.सुबह सुबह ये दर्शन अछा रहा. फिर मैंने अपने कंप्यूटर ओं किया और कम पे लग गया.आप घबराये मत क्यों की मैं मन मैं और खयालो मैं ही शिर्डी चला गया था मेरा पार्थिव शारीर तो यहीं छुट गया था.क्या जरुरी है की मैं अपना ३० साल का गन्दा बदन लेके ही जून.मेरा मन तो जा सकता है ना बाबा से मिलने और उनका दर्शन करने तो मैं कर आया.बाबा ने भी मुझे देखा और आशीष दिया. आप लोग कुछ भी कहो …बाबा की जय हो …

Terrorism & Indian Judiciary System

Yet another bomb got off at 10.17 this morning outside the Delhi High Court gate number 5 & left 11 dead and 60 odd injured. This is the second blast after the first went on 25th May in the capital city but as usual the home minister called it a terrorist attack & expressed its inability to get any clues for the same. But after 5 hours of the blast occurred Huji, a terrorist group took the claim and its the general public who witnessed the blast gave the intelligence people the sketch of the people who planted the bomb there. Here a serious question arraises ; how serious & focused is the govt & the intelligence in our country about the safely of the citizens. In turn the Huji cowards just warned the govt of releasing the Md Afzal Guru the mastermind of another blast in the country else to face more of such attacks. Is our got sleeping with @g,3G money till another blast occurs and once the next blast is done then the security agencies & the inefficient ministers start releasing rubbish statements & promise security to the countrymen. When the all the ministries have lost their credibility for what the puppet PM Singh is still holding office ? Once it happens that a TN assembly passes amendment & asks for a life imprisonment of 3 death awards against the will of the President of India. And J&K assembly argues for a similar action against the man accused of killing innocent people. Who is working , the judiciary, the ministry , the security & intelligence agencies or the terrorists…the obvious answer is the terrorists….I dont know where we are heading and what will happen to the country. The govt has to have a timely solution and action to each action before its too late. Where India is said to be the largest democracy & a economic superpower, than theses happenings is a question on the credibility of the government. When we focus on 8.1 % GDP growth in the next FY we must keep price rise under control & to be the largest democracy we must maintain India to be a safe place & these attacks & a lengthy judiciary process delaying punishing the accused must have to be changed & people behind all these attacks have to prosecuted to pass a strong message to all extremists.Its high time to tolerate & keep mum. its time now to execute the death sentences and bring positive changes in the constitution & set stronger laws to clear ways for a faster judiciary followed by immediate action as per decisions. Will the govt act now & answer the questions raised by the common people ???

Like the mid day meal in the 80′s to the post-election offerings in the state promising BPL card holders many free-bees. Resuming the same spirit to serve the people the state govt has announced to give cash to the to be moms for a healthy nutritious health condition during delivery to strengthen the immune system.

The state government will soon pay mothers who get their newborns vaccinated as per the immunization schedule. This will help the health department track the health of mothers and their children in the below poverty line category and bring down maternal and infant deaths.

The scheme is perhaps the first of its kind in the country and is intended to arrest the decline in immunisation. Health department officials have decided that under the revised Muthulakshmi Reddy Scheme every pregnant woman will be given a smart card with her medical details. The health department will transfer Rs 4,000 to her bank account after she registers with a government healthcare unit.

The money is to help her have nutritious food and avoid anaemia during pregnancy. If the woman delivers at a government hospital, the state will transfer another Rs 4,000. At present, the department gives Rs 6,000 in two equal installments.

हेरा पंचमी ( लक्ष्मी ठकुरानी और उनका अभिमान )

आसाढ़ मास शुक्ल पक्ष्य द्वितीया के दिन भगवान् जगन्नाथ भाई बलभद्र और बेहेन सुभद्रा के साथ श्रीमंदिर से निकल कर भक्तो को दर्शन देने के लिए अपने नौ दिन के रथयात्रा में अपनी मौसी के घर मौसि के मंदिर चले गए हैं. आज ५ दिन हो गए हैं माँ अन्नपूर्णा महालक्ष्मी को प्रभु से बिछड़े हुए और वे प्रभु के वियोग के बिरह सह नहीं कर पा रही है और जब बिरह असह्य हुआ तो वे बेहेन बिमला ( जो की मंदिर प्रांगन में ही बिराजमान है ) से अपनी इस दसा का समाधान पूछती हैं तो माँ बिमला ने उन्हें मौसिमा मंदिर जा के भगवन जगन्नाथ जी से मिल के आने की सलाह दी. यह खबर होते ही जगन्नाथ महाप्रभु भी अपनी मुख श्रृंगार सम्पन्न कर माता महालक्ष्मी जी से मिलने की प्रतीक्षा करने लगते हैं . बिमला माँ के इस सलाह से माँ महालक्ष्मी सोलह श्रृंगार करते हुए रात के अँधेरे में गुन्दिचा मंदिर जा के भगवन से मिलने की योजना बनाती हैं और अपने कुछ बिस्वस्त सेविकाओ के साथ रथयात्रा के पाचवे दिन गुन्दिचा मंदिर पहंचते हैं और सबसे नज़र बचा के वो मंदिर मे जगन्नाथ जी से अकेले मिलके अपनी बिरह प्रकट करते हैं और बदले में प्रभु उनको आस्वसना देते हैं की वो रथयात्रा ख़तम करके श्रीमंदिर में लौट आएंगे. महालक्ष्मी जी गुस्से में श्रीमंदिर लौटते लौटते अपने अभिमान को तोड़ते हुए नंदीघोष रथ से एक लकड़ी तोड़ देते हैं जिसने प्रभु को उनसे दूर ले आया हैं.

इसी प्रथा को आगे बढाते हुए कल माँ महालक्ष्मी जी की हेरा पंचमी कराइ गई. महालक्ष्मीजी का सोलह श्रृंगार भी कराया गया और वेद् बर्णित बिधिनुसार सारे कार्यक्रम हुआ और एक सुसज्जित पलिंकी में वो नंदीघोष रथ के निचे पहुंची और वहां कुछ बिधियों के बाद एकांत में प्रभु जगन्नाथ से मिली और जाते जाते रथ में से एक लकड़ी भी तोड़ दी और श्रीमंदिर लौट गई..

देबलोक में जिनकी एक दर्शन हेतु देवताओं को कड़ी तपस्या करनी पड़ती है वहां भक्त के भक्ति से बिबस महाप्रभु के ये इंसानी रूप में लीलाएं रचना किसी स्वप्नलोक की कहानी से कम नहीं है..

धन्य प्रभु धन्य आपकी लीला…

The epic story behind the the origin of Lord Jagannath goes back to ancient days when present day Lord Jagannath was being worshiped as Nila Madhava by a tribal head called Biswabasu. The name Nilamadhaba comes from the mountain that is always covered by the dense forest making it tougher for anyone to reach.The story goes, in the state of Malwa there was a king called Indradyumna who was an ardent devotee of lord Vishnu.His utter devotion landed him to see Lod Vishnu in his manly eyes and he in his prayers pleaded the lord to give him Darhan. After long in a divine dream he was told that Lord Vishnu can be seen in his best form in the state of then Utkala. The king then send Vidyapati to find & submit a report on Lord Vishnu. Bidyapati, after a very secret research got to know about Biswabasu & the lord Nilamadhaba , but upon request he denied to show him the way to Nilamadhaba. Failing to get the way to Nilamadhaba by hook or crook Bidyapari Decided to stay there and by playing tricks he married Lalita, daughter of Biswabasu. And after humble request by her daughter, Biswabasu was ready to take blindfolded Vidyapati to the secret cave where nilamadhaba was being worshiped and there Bidyapati played another trick to get the way to Nilamadhaba. While travelling to Nilamadhaba with Biswabasu, Bidyapati had taken unrippen mustard along with him and went on putting the same on the way to Nilamadhaba. On reaching Nilamadhaba, Bidyapati was lost in the beauty of the lord vishnu and thanked Biswabasu and returned to the king Indradyumna.On reaching back he narrated the existence of the lord and with no wait the king with his near & dears went to Utkala to get a glimpse of the lord. By the time Bidyapati was back in Utkala the unriped mustard were full grown mustard and took the king with Bidyapati to the secret cave but as Bidyapati had cheated his beloved devotee Biswabasu , the lord disappeared from the cave. this led Indradyumna to be disheartened and knowing the fact from Bidyapati he then pleaded the lord to give him darshan. Without any result the king summoned the Lord that if he does not give him darshan before sunset he will end his life. In the evening when the king was about to fire the death bed the lord in a heavenly voice told him to find logs of wood in the seashore in Puri & prepare statues 7 observe puja.
Getting relif by this the king along with the entire army went to the seashore where he found 4 logs on “Neem Daru” floating with shankh,chakra gada & padma symbols marked on them. On trying to get the logs out of water even after using the army & the huge elephants to move out of water they didn’t even move from their actual place. then again the king was ready with his death bed but the lord in a heavenly voice ordered that his ardent devotee Biswabasu’s touch will move the logs out of water hence Biswabasu was called to help and he served the logs to be carried to the king’s palace. Then the real thing had to be done to get the logs in the best form of Nilamadhaba. So the king asked the royal carpenters to get the logs turned into the lords but as nobody had seen lord Vishnu nobody could dare to touch the logs and whosoever tried the tools on the logs ,the tools got damaged with out a stain on the logs. A hopeless king now announced that anyone who will be able to make the real vishnu idols from the logs would get half of his state and anything he asks for but being disappointed he again got up to the death bed but & in the same evening an too old man with his tools appeared in front of the king and told him to allow him. but the king with carelessness asked to show up his skills leading to which the old man tore the skin out of the log with his nails. being assured of his skills the king allowed him but the old man put up conditions like he won’t be disturbed till 21 days and he will be allowed to do his job in the most secret chamber and he even does not need anything for himself that can disturb him. And if anybody happens to see him working & the door be opened, he will leave from then & won’t b responsible for anything that happens to them thereafter. As the king agreed to the terms, the old man was allowed to be inside the locked chambers. Like the king the queen too had utmost devotion for the lord and she used to listen to the construction noise from outside the chamber. till the 15th day everything was fine but on 18th day when she didn’t hear any noise from the chamber her anxiety led her to many assumptions and fearing the old man’s death inside the chamber she prompted the king to open the door. The king when unwillingly opened the door, they dint get any trace of the old man in the chamber and what was left was the 4 half made huge statues of the Lords. With utter disappointment on breaching trust with his the old man, the king repented on his act and requested the lord to explain the act and while attempting to end his life once more the heavenly voice explained the statues as Lord Balabhadra,Subhadra & Lord Jagannath. The king was ordered to allow Biswabasu to be the head priest to offer puja after the statues get placed in a heavenly temple in the seashore which the king executed. Promptly he built a huge temple and looked for some Brahmins to do the “Pratisha utsava” but he dint find any body suitable for the same. Then Narada appeared and told him about the creator of the universe lord Brahma to be the best one to do the job and on his guidance indradyumna went to Brahmalok to invite Brahma and on reaching earth with Brahma he was amazed not to find the temple in place as a moment in Brahmalok is equal to 1000 years on earth.The then king of Utkala while going on his horse the horse got hit by the “Nilachakra” which in turn revealed the lost temple and he claimed the temple to be one of his ancestors and fought with Indradyumna for the possession. Then Indradyumna without any witness alive urged the lord to do justice and the lord appeared in front of the kings and awarded the temple to Indradyumna and after lord brahma did the “Pratistha utsava” the lords being pleased with the devotion of the Indradumna offered a wish to him. To this wish to be fulfilled indradyumns requested the lord to do such a situation that there should be no one to say that the temple was built by his ancestors which the lords approved and disappeared. Since then the lords are there as Lord jagannatha (Lord Krishna), Lord balabhadra(lord balarama) & Lord Subhadra (lord Krishna’s sister) along with sudarshan(Lord Krishna’s aayudha). People say the ever roaring sea is the witness to Indradyumna and his devotion to lord vishnu who still lives herein to give mokshya to everybody who bows his head to him…
